Warranty & Returns Policy

Montek stands behind the quality and reliability of every product we ship. Our warranty and returns policies are designed to give you confidence in your purchase and a clear, straightforward process if something needs to be addressed. Please read the following policies carefully before requesting warranty service or initiating a return.

Limited Time Coverage

Montek warrants its high-brightness LCD display products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date. If a covered defect is identified and confirmed during the warranty period, Montek will — at our discretion — repair the product using new or refurbished components, or replace it with a functionally equivalent unit.

Replacement parts or replacement units are covered for whichever is longer: the remaining original warranty period or 90 days from the date of replacement. Customers are responsible for shipping defective products to Montek for evaluation and repair. Montek will cover return shipping after a confirmed warranty repair or replacement has been completed.

To initiate a warranty service request, contact Montek and provide the following information:

  • Model number and serial number
  • Original purchase date
  • Clear description of the defect or issue
  • Proof of purchase (invoice) — may be required for warranty validation

How to request

Our support team will first work with you on remote troubleshooting to attempt to resolve the issue without requiring a return. If remote troubleshooting cannot resolve the issue, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products must be returned in their original packaging with all included accessories. Products returned without a valid RMA number will be refused.

The limited warranty does not apply to damage or defects resulting from:

Return and RMA

Important: A valid RMA number must be obtained from Montek before returning any product. Products returned without a valid RMA number will be refused at the receiving dock and returned to the sender at their expense.

To return a product for credit, the following conditions must be met:

  • RMA must be requested within 30 days of the invoice date
  • Products must be in new, unused condition with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation included
  • Products returned in damaged or incomplete condition may be subject to restocking fees
  • All return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense
  • Original outbound shipping charges from the invoice are non-refundable

RMA numbers are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Items included in a return shipment but not listed in the original RMA will be returned to the sender at their expense.

A product is classified as Dead on Arrival (DOA) if any of the following conditions are present within 3 months of the confirmed delivery date:

  • Complete power failure — unit does not power on
  • No image displayed on screen despite power being supplied
  • Control interface (keypad, OSD buttons) is completely non-functional

DOA coverage is void under the following circumstances:

  • Any accessories, cables, or components included with the original shipment are missing
  • Unauthorized components or replacement parts have been installed
  • The warranty label, serial number label, or tamper-evident seal has been altered, removed, or damaged

Please contact your Montek sales representative before returning any product believed to be DOA. Our team will confirm the DOA classification and provide return instructions.

If Your Package Arrives Visibly Damaged

If the outer packaging shows signs of damage at the time of delivery, take the following steps immediately: note “Box Damaged” clearly on the delivery receipt before signing. Photograph both the outer packaging and the product itself. Retain all original packaging materials. Contact Montek as soon as possible with your photos and shipment documentation. This documentation is essential for processing a damage claim with the carrier.

Pre-Shipment Quality Inspection

All Montek products undergo a systematic quality control inspection before shipment. Upon receiving your order, please inspect the product promptly. If the inspection seal is broken, the product shows signs of physical damage such as scratches, cracks, or dents, or the product appears to have been previously used, contact Montek immediately with supporting documentation.

Reporting a Defective or Damaged Product Within 30 Days

If a defect or damage is identified within 30 days of delivery, please provide the following to our support team to initiate a resolution:

  • Date the issue was first identified
  • Unboxing photographs — taken at the time of opening
  • Photographs of the defective or damaged product with protective film intact where applicable
  • Photograph of the outer shipping carton showing the carton ID number
  • Panel serial number or shipping label photograph
  • Invoice number
